How to feel more confident

What does it mean to be confident?

Recently I found myself asking this question. And I realized there’s often a lot of misconceptions about what it really means and looks like to be confident.

So, this week on the podcast, this is what we’re exploring together. What does confidence really look like? What is confidence? What isn’t confidence? How do we get more of it?

You've gotta be outgoing and bubbly and always talking to people and have zero fears. You can't ever feel insecure. You never overthink your decisions.

This was going on in my head, so I'm guessing it's something you've thought, too.

But… as I share in this week's podcast episode… confidence doesn't have one “look”. It's not one personality type. And it also doesn't mean you've “arrived” and you're exactly where you want to be and have nothing to work on anymore.

The definition I came up with about confidence is this… confidence is a deep understanding, appreciation, and acceptance of who you are today… while ALSO allowing space to grow into who you want to become. And loving all of her, every step of the way.

Do you notice something about this definition? It doesn’t mean you' have to arrive at where you want to be to be confident. You don’t have to “fix yourself first” to be confident. You don’t have to perfect.

If you've been thinking, “Man, I just wish I was more confident”, this episode is for YOU, my friend. I can't wait for you to listen.
