Real Self-Care with Alexandra Carter

Maybe for you, self-care has always elicited thoughts of bubble baths, bath bombs, manicures, etc. But, as we talk about in this week’s podcast episode, self-care in it’s most basic form (and most important form) is simply meeting your most basic needs.

It doesn’t have to be this big ordeal… it can just be woven into our lives right as they are. Self-care can simply be answering & responding to the question of “What is the next best thing I can do for myself?”

One of my favorite questions & prompts that Alexandra shared in this conversation about self-care is this… “What is the kindest thing I can do for myself in this moment?”

Imagine what it would look like to ask yourself this question regularly. How would this mindset of kindness towards yourself change how you approached food and every other thing in your life?

This is REAL self-care.

This is the self-care that matters more than anything else.

And when you focus on the simplicity of self-care, everything changes.

Explore for yourself what simple self-care, real self-care, looks like for YOU.
