Helping our kids grow up with a healthy relationship with food & their bodies

Today's episode is a little different. I wanted to share a podcast interview and conversation I had with my friend, Darlynn Childress, on her podcast "Become a Calm Mama" all about how to help our kids grow up with a healthy relationship with food & their bodies.

Darlynn is a parenting coach and a dear friend of mine. This is the second time she's had me on her podcast (you can find our first episode all about how to heal our own relationship with food & our bodies as moms HERE).

But today we're talking about how to help our kids grow up with a healthy relationship with food & their bodies in a world seeped in diet culture.

This was a big part of my own “why” for wanting to heal my relationship with food & my body. I grew up watching my own mom go on diet after diet and talk negatively about her body. And naturally, I picked up on that, myself.

And I knew I did not want that experience for my kids.

But, it's not always easy in our culture that's inundated with dieting and pressures to have a certain body type and size.

That's why, Darlynn and I knew we needed to have this conversation together. To help you feel more confident knowing how to navigate all of this.
